Dr. Jibri Muhammad
Dr. Jibri Muhammad, a proud native of Atlanta, GA, is a dedicated and compassionate general dentist. He is a 2020 graduate of Howard University where he earned his bachelors in chemistry and a 2024 graduate of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. He currently practices in Concord, NC.

Tarrick, a proud native of eastern North Carolina and a Sampson Community College graduate who continued his education at ECU as a transfer, earned a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. He later completed a master’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus on leadership which honed his leadership and administrative skills.

Since 1999, Tarrick has been a vital part of ECU’s recruitment efforts. As the leader of the Freshman and Transfer recruitment team, he also oversees outreach strategies to ensure student’s smooth transition from application to class registration.
A lifelong Pirate, Tarrick emphasizes ECU’s unique blend of a close-knit college experience within a large R1 institution. “There are countless opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, leading to career success after graduation,” he says. “Make the most of your journey—utilize resources and get involved.”

Outside of work, Tarrick enjoys attending AAU basketball games with his children and supporting outreach opportunities through his church. His favorite pastime, however, is spending quality time with family. You will often find him wearing his Pirate Pride around Greenville, exemplified in a purple golf shirt.

Tian Qin
DAT Bootcamp
Tian is currently a 2nd year dental student at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. For his undergraduate degree he went to Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Tian was able to score very well on the DAT by using DAT Bootcamp to study and prepare. He is very excited to share some basics about the DAT along with some insights on how to study from both Bootcamp in general and from his personal experience studying. In his free time, Tian enjoys playing golf and tennis.

Dr. Octavia Miller is a 2023 graduate of the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and currently practices general dentistry in Charlotte, North Carolina. Passionate about building strong professional communities, Dr. Miller is dedicated to advancing mentorship and networking within the dental field. A true servant leader, she has been pivotal in helping students to and through dental school. Her commitment to empowering emerging professionals and fostering collaborative growth makes her a valued voice in conversations about career development and leadership in healthcare.
